Freedom of Information

West Midlands Employers is not a public authority bound by the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  It is our policy to be as open and transparent about our work as possible and we will aim to respond positively to questions from third parties.  In determining our response, we will take account of the time commitment and its impact on our resource priorities, the commercial sensitive of any information and whether it may contain personal data.

We will generally confirm if we will or will not share information within 5 working days. If providing information, we will aim to respond within 20 working days of receipt of written information requests. We may also ask for further information from you to better understand the nature of your enquiry. 

If the information request actually relates to another organisation or a contact we have worked with we will ask you to contact them directly. 

The categories of information that West Midlands Employers generally makes available to members of the public are listed below.

  • Governance and Membership
  • Annual Financial Statements
  • Publications and Reports: such as newsletters, business plans and published reports on specific topics that are for open circulation and not linked to a membership subscription.
