Build your expertise with WME
Whether you are starting from scratch to develop a coaching and mentoring culture, or developing your in-house capacity, we have a variety of ways we can support you at each stage.
Developing coaching skills is a journey. Start with one technique, practice it until it feels natural, then add another. The key is consistency and reflection on what works in your context. To advance your skills further, consider ongoing development opportunities.
Here are some examples of what delegates have shared from our programmes:
The learning environment was superb, [the facilitator] was so knowledgeable and passionate about the subject! I have learnt so much and it was great to get to know some new Colleagues too!

Want more on mentoring?
If your focus is more on mentoring, we have development opportunities for that too. From introductory sessions to supporting large scale programmes such as our Diversity Reciprocal Mentoring Scheme and support for specialist functions such as Building Control Mentoring.
We have found our Live Labs especially helpful within mentoring schemes: This is similar to supervision; however the word supervision can be off putting, it is also a less formal version of group coaching supervision. Designed to provide mentors and mentees with the opportunity for further learning and reflection on their mentoring experiences. Here is what a few senior leader mentors shared about them:
- ‘Pleasantly surprised, the conversations were very valuable’
- ‘Tired from doing the work, but in a good way’
