Lesley joined WME in October 2019, having previously been an associate in the West Midlands since 2005. She has extensive experience in public sector HR, and is the lead for reward, pay and grading within WME.

Lesley is the Director of HR, Consultancy and Membership Services for WME, and is responsible to the Chief Executive for managing and directing the Corporate Services, Human Resources Consultancy and Talent Bank portfolio.
Lesley is experienced in working with councils to achieve their objectives, specifically, working with them on organisational and structural reviews, pay and grading reviews, job evaluation, job sizing and pay benchmarking as well and benefits and terms and conditions
As an investigator, Lesley has conducted a range of complex and sensitive investigations including allegations made against senior managers in Local Authorities and other public sector organisations, bullying and harassment, financial probity and racism. She has negotiated settlement agreements and worked with Trades Unions on TUPE Transfers, organisation wide pay and conditions issues as well as individual casework.
Lesley also leads the Corporate Services team, and is responsible for the digital, communications and data services within WME, looking after membership services and managing the 40-strong Talent Bank of Associates.
In addition to Local Authority posts, Lesley has worked in the Police service and in the private sector, in retail and customer services.
She is qualified to administer and interpret psychometric tests (levels A and B). Lesley is also a qualified therapist, specialising in CBT and, although no longer practicing after spending some time in the NHS and private practice, retains a keen interest in mental health and wellbeing at work.
