Background and work history

I have over 35 years’ experience in local government, working at the highest level in a range of local authorities in England and Wales and from both a strategic and operational basis. I have led large teams of staff across the full range of HR/OD and in the delivery of consultancy and business focused HR services. I have delivered ‘equal pay/single status’ agreements in three different authorities, led large scale TUPE and shared service projects, delivered award winning innovations in staff engagement, absence management and employee recognition and received national recognition for the development of an organisational wide ‘Leadership Café’. I have a reputation for collaborative working, a passion for personal development and have led the development of strategic HR and OD practice at both a regional and national level.
