We know, we know, the whole AI thing has got you feeling like the robot uprising is nigh. But hear us out – this is not ‘The Terminator.’ We’re not talking about Skynet taking over the world. What we’ve got here is a golden opportunity to transform the way we work, and it’s all about putting the human touch front and centre.  

And yes, you read that right: People-Centric Intelligent Automation. It’s a mouthful, but it’s also a game-changer. 

We all know the drill. HR is often awash with paperwork, processes, tasks, and endless data entry. It’s enough to make even the most seasoned professional want to pull their hair out. But what if you and your teams felt confident to embrace AI so that it could swoop in like a caped crusader and take those, sometimes tedious tasks, off your plate? 

Imagine a world where you could prioritise your time connecting with people, building relationships, fostering a killer company culture. All the good stuff that makes HR the beating heart of any organisation.  

And let’s not forget the cherry on top: efficiency. With AI handling the nitty-gritty, you’ll be able to streamline processes, make data-driven decisions, and basically become a productivity ninja. It’s like having your own personal assistant. 

We’re living in a pivotal moment. The AI revolution is happening whether we like it or not, and the choice is ours: do we resist and get left behind, or do we do something now and shape the future?  

This is our chance to be trailblazers, to set the tone for how AI is integrated into the workplace. By putting people at the centre of it all, we can ensure that powerful technologies enhance the human experience. Let’s harness its power and use it to personalise and respond to the needs of our changing workforce demographics. Let’s leverage its capabilities and shift the balance from operational to strategic.  

People-Centric Intelligent Automation is the way forward, and it’s going to be one heck of a ride…and the bricks in our windmill. We are determined to help local authority HR and OD peers across the region shift the dial and move along the spectrum from fear to fearless.  

We see our role at WME is to stimulate transformative growth in HR and OD by empowering people professionals with the confidence, capabilities, and readiness to tackle modern challenges and lead the change. We’ll do that by: 

  • Showcasing and sharing what’s already happening in the people space and encourage learning from each other (good or bad) 
  • Uniting and exposing relevant expertise that can help stimulate and ignite action to common challenges/needs 
  • Influencing strategic workforce planning by collectively re-imagining the structure of work and design of roles 
  • Providing safe spaces for futuristic experimentation and ideation (lead and learn) at a regional level that can be scaled and implemented at a local level 
  • Providing responsive and appropriate training opportunities (AI for non techies) 
  • Ensuring our regional solutions to workforce challenges embed AI tools and techniques in practice
