James Gilbert joined West Midlands Employers in July 2022 as our Service Delivery Manager - HR. As an active CIPD member with a Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, James combines over 10 years of customer service experience with strong HR expertise to deliver support to our member councils.
Working as part of the HR consultancy service, James regularly conducts job evaluations and produces comprehensive reports for councils on salary benchmarking, equality impact assessments, pay gap analyses, and policy documentation.
He has developed particular passion for data interpretation, contributing to quarterly internal KPI reporting and serving as the InfiniStats data lead for the West Midlands region, helping councils leverage this local government metric platform.
James connects councils with our diverse pool of HR consultants to address specialised needs including disciplinary cases, grievances, and policy development. He is responsible for consultant onboarding & compliance, ensuring that our consultant pool is fit for the future.”
