What is the Accelerating Inclusion through Allyship Programme?

The Accelerating Inclusion through Allyship programme is a safe space for senior leaders to develop their inclusive leadership skills through the positive and practical method of allyship.

The programme will challenge and support you to recognise systems processes and practices that disadvantage some staff and build the courage to make the essential changes necessary for inclusion.

It will also challenge you to role model allyship behaviours, step out of your comfort zone and live allyship through advocacy and sponsorship.

Those who stand still are left behind in the fast-paced complex world we live in, allyship is an essential leadership skill for attraction and retention of the best talent, to ensure you represent all that you serve and to evolve your leadership. This programme is for you, if you are a senior leader, head of service, or manager wanting to champion all things inclusion in your culture and organisation. You know inclusion is anything but a tick box exercise and that it’s about changing attitudes and confronting discrimination head on. You are prepared to be a passionate advocate and driver for equality, diversity and inclusion and want to learn more.

  • because others look to you as a role model to lift the burden of inclusion from being the work that those from underrepresented groups must undertake 
  • so that change filters downward challenges the status quo

  • You should be fully committed to put what you learn into action and support emerging allies in their development in the future.

The Programme Journey

There will be a face-to-face launch event to kick off the programme and a face-to-face celebration event at the end of the programme. The 5 modules and the four action learning sets will be online.

Who can apply 

Participants will be required to complete a short application form highlighting their personal desired outcomes from undertaking the programme.
