West Midlands Employers is celebrating national recognition for its public sector resourcing services, with award success for both WMJobs and its WMTalent Acquisition Service. The achievements highlight WME’s not-for-profit, partnership-led approach to recruitment, supporting organisations to attract talent, improve candidate experience and build sustainable workforce pipelines.

West Midlands Employers (WME) is celebrating a week of national recognition for its resourcing services, following success at both the PPMA Excellence in People Management Awards and this year’s In-house Recruitment Supplier Awards.

Together, the awards recognise the strength and impact of WME’s not-for-profit resourcing offer for the public sector, spanning attraction through WMJobs and technology-enabled, partnership-led recruitment delivered through its WMTalent Acquisition Service, in partnership with Tribepad.

National awards success across both services

At the PPMA Excellence in People Management Awards last week, WME and Tribepad were named Best Partnership / Collaboration, recognising the strength of the partnership and its impact in supporting sustainable public sector recruitment.

This was followed by further recognition at the In-house Recruitment Supplier Awards, where WMJobs was awarded Silver in the Specialist Job Board category, and WME’s WMTalent Acquisition Service, delivered in partnership with Tribepad, was awarded Bronze in the Customer Experience category.

Being recognised across these awards places WME alongside some of the UK’s largest and most established suppliers to the recruitment industry, showcasing the strength of its services and partnership-based approach.

Delivering recruitment at scale: WMJobs

WMJobs was created to respond to growing workforce challenges across the West Midlands, where public sector organisations are managing skills shortages, rising demand and ongoing budget pressures.

More than a traditional job board, WMJobs brings together employers across the region to deliver a collaborative and sustainable approach to recruitment and attraction. In 2025 alone, WMJobs supported hundreds of organisations, advertising over 18,000 roles and engaging more than 2.3 million job seekers.

Its success is built on sector expertise, campaign-led attraction and a not-for-profit model that reinvests directly into improving outcomes for employers, enabling access to high-quality recruitment at significantly lower cost while strengthening long-term talent pipelines.

Transforming recruitment through partnership and technology: WMTalent Acquisition

Alongside WMJobs, WME’s WMTalent Acquisition Service supports public sector organisations to modernise how they recruit, combining hands-on resourcing expertise with technology that enables more efficient, consistent and inclusive hiring.

Delivered in partnership with Tribepad, the service brings together sector insight, practical delivery and configurable recruitment technology to help organisations streamline recruitment processes, improve candidate experience and build long term recruitment capability across teams.

The service is underpinned by market leading recruitment technology. At the In-house Recruitment Supplier Awards, Tribepad’s applicant tracking system was recognised as best in class, winning both the ATS for Enterprises and ATS for SMEs categories. This independent recognition highlights the quality of the technology used by WME’s customers through the WMTalent Acquisition Service.

“The partnership with West Midlands Employers means a huge amount to us. It’s been incredible to see what’s possible when you bring the right people, technology, and shared ambition together; helping public sector organisations transform how they hire and make a real difference to their communities. We’re genuinely proud of what we’ve built together and excited for what’s still to come.” Neil Armstrong, CEO of Tribepad

Looking ahead

Commenting on the awards success, Chloe Herrmann, Principal Resourcing Consultant at West Midlands Employers, said: “We are incredibly proud that both WMJobs and our WMTalent Acquisition Service has been recognised at a national level. As a not-for-profit organisation, our focus is always on supporting the public sector and delivering real value for the organisations we work with.

“To be recognised across multiple award categories alongside established national providers is a strong reflection of the impact of a collaborative, partnership-led approach to recruitment.”

WME will continue to build on this success, investing in WMJobs, the WMTalent Acquisition Service and its wider resourcing portfolio to further support organisations across the West Midlands to attract, recruit and retain the talent they need.
