Networking

Shaping the next generation of local government leadership - Following the fantastic engagement and feedback from our first Future Leaders Network session, we’re excited to invite you to our first in person network event.

You told us clearly that one of the most important skills you want to develop at the outset is the art of effective networking, not transactional networking, but building authentic relationships, confidence, visibility and meaningful professional connections that support your leadership journey long term.

This session has therefore been designed entirely around that theme. Together, we’ll explore how networking can help you:

  • build confidence and personal impact
  • strengthen relationships across councils and the wider sector
  • increase your visibility as a future leader
  • learn from peers and senior leaders • create supportive professional networks

Most importantly, this session will help lay the foundations for the wider leadership networking journey we will continue to build together throughout the year.
